The Arctic: A New Tropical Paradise

October 25, 2013

polar-ice-melt-1From world wars to weapons of mass destruction, the 20th and 21st century had events of major worldwide concern. Yet, the news this week about “Arctic Temperatures Reaching the Highest Levels In 44,000 Years” makes all other events pale in comparison. Yes there will be naysayers, so be it. The truth is all around us today. The fact of the matter is these major climatic changes will impact on everyone on the planet in a not so favorable way. It may be almost impossible to stop. I doubt even if the entire world would quantitatively stop using carbon based fuels today, would the positive effects be seen in a few decades. We are on a freight train out of control with no one taking substantive action to bring it under control.

    Barry:
I think if the polar ice caps were melting, we would be hearing a lot more from ocean front property owners (especially those on Martha’s Vinyard)!

Yes, Barry! This is today’s facts, as we quickly as possible must do something about. Time is not on our side, but we use the joint effort, the opportunity at hand to solve the worst tasks over a relatively short period. Much faster than anyone could now envisioned. Let’s get started!
